Several have asked about PTP 21. The directors have met and discussed contingencies. We are waiting for the Sevierville Convention Center (SCC) to give us the results of a meeting scheduled for April 15.
The SCC board meets every two months and adjusts policies according to the latest CDC and State of Tennessee guidelines. After April 15, it will be too late to get PTP announced and prepared if the policies remain too stringent.
If the April 15 meeting removes all restrictions, we are good to go on PTP 21. If current (or similar) regulations remain in place, the directors have decided we will not have PTP. (Either way, we will still have PTP Spark in St. Louis on September 15-19, 2021.)
Under current regulations, everyone is required to wear a mask at all times. The events center is allowed 5300 persons, which sounds good, but they must be socially distanced. That means that EHA, EHB, and Ballrooms (as a whole) are the only three areas we could have classes. We could not have the children’s program, teen classes, vendors, or the various tracks we usually have.
We hope to have PTP, but we do not want to have PTP if it cannot be “PTP.” We will let you know what we find out.
Please pray that the Lord’s will be done, and that the elders and directors have wisdom to do what is best for the kingdom.
