Ever since the announcement was first made in early June that PTP would not be held this year in the Smoky Mountains of east Tennessee, literally hundreds of people went to work to help make PTP Virtual Edition a reality. You can spot a number of them by their blood-shot eyes, dazed look from staring at computer screens for hours without end and general disheveled appearance. Think about it. An alternate plan was quickly, thoughtfully and prayerfully conceived, lots of people were contacted and got on board with the idea, and in a time frame of less than 80 days – something of the magnitude of PTP Virtual is being accomplished.
It really is amazing! PTP Virtual is a massive labor of love with the sincere desire to “Renew, Refresh and Recharge” Christians everywhere to the praise of our great God. This effort is a tremendous display that we really are “workers together with God” (2 Corinthians 6:1).
Many speakers traveled to places like GBN and WVBS to film sermons and classes. As of this blog post, about 300 lessons have been done (more continue to come in each day). There WILL be children’s classes. There are presently about three ladies’ classes each day. There will be sessions with a missions emphasis. Sessions on leadership, preaching, getting into the word, current issues, evangelism and encouraging one another make PTP Virtual sound very much like the PTP experience live and “in the flesh.” Special time at PTP Virtual will be devoted to prayer – something our nation and world needs very much these days. The diversity of lessons and a “something for everyone” approach that’s come to characterize PTP will also ring true with PTP Virtual. PTP Virtual will also be true to its PTP’s purpose of being God-centered, Bible-filled and faith enriching.
We need your help! Please pray for PTP Virtual. This effort simply cannot be accomplished without God’s blessing and your prayers. Please promote PTP Virtual. Due to all the investment of time in making PTP Virtual possible, there’s been less time for promoting and advertising it. That’s being worked on, but we really need your help in promoting this effort so that it can have maximum benefit. Encourage the leaders of the church to subscribe to PTP365 for all its members (a bargain at $300 congregational rate a year). A family can subscribe to PTP for $100 a year. By doing this many can have access not only to PTP Virtual this year, but to thousands of other lessons from previous years to “Renew, Refresh and Recharge” their souls.
